I’m Ria
I’m a filmmaker with a love for music, nostalgia, and golden hour light. I’ve been making films since 2019, but it was when I discovered wedding filmmaking that everything really clicked for me. It felt like all the things I cared about came together in one place!
I especially LOVE vintage and analogue filmmaking, and I am always trying to find ways to weave that into my work, like filming highlights on Super 8 or handing out a camcorder for guests to have fun with. I want to capture memories in a way that feels real and full of personality, not just polished highlights.
When I’m not filming weddings, I work on a CBeebies show called Andy’s Adventures — which basically means I get to spend my time telling stories for tiny explorers as well as big-hearted couples. I actually have the best of both worlds!
My Approach
My approach to wedding videography is discreet, and I aim to capture all the important moments of the day while being as unobtrusive as possible.
I understand that my couples want to feel comfortable and relaxed on their special day, and that being followed around by a camera can be intrusive and distracting, so I keep my approach relaxed and low-key. I capture everything naturally, without getting in the way, and if you fancy slipping away for a few relaxed couple shots, we’ll make it easy and fun — no awkward posing, no pressure.
This approach allows me to create a more natural, authentic film that truly reflects the emotions and atmosphere of the day.
